APRIL ISSUE
2 MEN CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY
OVER NIGHT IN AMERICA

THE POPE

Never before have I seen such a frenzy on two sides of the religious Christian spectrum..

I see the Pope has truly ignited the spirit of faith a-new in America for the Catholics.

He has brought a Spirit of healing for those who were mistreated in the body and a Spirit of Unity with the fellowship of Believers.

It is unprecedented in fact , that Healing is now an open topic for us all. Emotinally and physically!

His Holiness the Pope has  shown much mercy and tolerance and much love He proves GOD has Forgiveness for sin . Watching this has made my own perspective of him change.

Notice  he has not made a waver of the moral decency of the Written Script in Holy Scripture He has neither been  compromised by media reflections Or by the say of different faith based groups that do not profess Christ .
He is stead fast and sure in his stand!

Bravo Your Emmence I adore that for it is a lesson we all need to learn here in America

To stand up for the Right of GOD and the principals He gave us.

Un compromised by the media at large or by political correctness ... ( a real falacy)

What a refreshing change this has been  to have The Pope With us!

Catholics can be rest assured Healing is coming to them and, that their faith may be encouraged by such an encourager as Pope Benedict 16

This Pope has even ignited may of us protestants to watch and see what the Holy See will do?

I have been blessed to see the calmness this man of age has been about to endure  He has shown a remarkable strength and appears well suited to take Pope John Paul’s  place .

I have a feeling that his return to a more traditional look of the Pontificate is going to in doubt cause a few ruffles to toss But in this day where everything seems to go .....

It works with goodness at its base and favor on the soul of man!

Thank you  Your Holiness for Coming to the USA !
WE watched your services they are seasoned with Love and Grace  Tolorence and Forgivness!

President and Mrs. Bush to Welcome His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the White House

President and Mrs. Bush will welcome His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the White House on April 16, 2008, during his first visit to the United States as Pope. The President and the Holy Father will continue discussions, which they began during the President's visit to the Vatican in June 2007, on their common commitment to the importance of faith and reason in reaching shared goals. These goals include advancing peace throughout the Middle East and other troubled regions, promoting inter-faith understanding, and strengthening human rights and freedom, especially religious liberty, around the world.

Fact sheet Welcoming His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI

10:38 A.M. EDT

PRESIDENT BUSH: Holy Father, Laura and I are privileged to have you here at the White House. We welcome you with the ancient words commended by Saint Augustine: "Pax Tecum." Peace be with you.

You've chosen to visit America on your birthday. Well, birthdays are traditionally spent with close friends, so our entire nation is moved and honored that you've decided to share this special day with us. We wish you much health and happiness -- today and for many years to come. (Applause.)

President George W. Bush delivers remarks Wednesday, April 16, 2008, during the arrival ceremony for Pope Benedict XVI on the South Lawn of the White House. Said the President, "Holy Father, thank you for making this journey to America. Our nation welcomes you. We appreciate the example you set for the world, and we ask that you always keep us in your prayers." White House photo by David Bohrer This is your first trip to the United States since you ascended to the Chair of Saint Peter. You will visit two of our greatest cities and meet countless Americans, including many who have traveled from across the country to see with you and to share in the joy of this visit. Here in America you'll find a nation of prayer. Each day millions of our citizens approach our Maker on bended knee, seeking His grace and giving thanks for the many blessings He bestows upon us. Millions of Americans have been praying for your visit, and millions look forward to praying with you this week.

Here in America you'll find a nation of compassion. Americans believe that the measure of a free society is how we treat the weakest and most vulnerable among us. So each day citizens across America answer the universal call to feed the hungry and comfort the sick and care for the infirm. Each day across the world the United States is working to eradicate disease, alleviate poverty, promote peace and bring the light of hope to places still mired in the darkness of tyranny and despair.

Here in America you'll find a nation that welcomes the role of faith in the public square. When our Founders declared our nation's independence, they rested their case on an appeal to the "laws of nature, and of nature's God." We believe in religious liberty. We also believe that a love for freedom and a common moral law are written into every human heart, and that these constitute the firm foundation on which any successful free society must be built.

Here in America, you'll find a nation that is fully modern, yet guided by ancient and eternal truths. The United States is the most innovative, creative and dynamic country on earth -- it is also among the most religious. In our nation, faith and reason coexist in harmony. This is one of our country's greatest strengths, and one of the reasons that our land remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for millions across the world.

Most of all, Holy Father, you will find in America people whose hearts are open to your message of hope. And America and the world need this message. In a world where some invoke the name of God to justify acts of terror and murder and hate, we need your message that "God is love." And embracing this love is the surest way to save men from "falling prey to the teaching of fanaticism and terrorism."

Pope Benedict XVI delivers a message to thousands of invited guests Wednesday, April 16, 2008, on the South Lawn of the White House. White House photo by Grant Miller In a world where some treat life as something to be debased and discarded, we need your message that all human life is sacred, and that "each of us is willed, each of us is loved" -- (applause) -- and your message that "each of us is willed, each of us is loved, and each of us is necessary."

In a world where some no longer believe that we can distinguish between simple right and wrong, we need your message to reject this "dictatorship of relativism," and embrace a culture of justice and truth. (Applause.)

In a world where some see freedom as simply the right to do as they wish, we need your message that true liberty requires us to live our freedom not just for ourselves, but "in a spirit of mutual support."

Holy Father, thank you for making this journey to America. Our nation welcomes you. We appreciate the example you set for the world, and we ask that you always keep us in your prayers. (Applause.)

POPE BENEDICT XVI: Mr. President, thank you for your gracious words of welcome on behalf of the people of the United States of America. I deeply appreciate your invitation to visit this great country. My visit coincides with an important moment in the life of the Catholic community in America: the celebration of the 200th anniversary of elevation of the country's first Diocese -- Baltimore -- to a metropolitan Archdiocese and the establishment of the Sees of New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Louisville.

Yet I am happy to be here as a guest of all Americans. I come as a friend, a preacher of the Gospel, and one with great respect for this vast pluralistic society. America's Catholics have made, and continue to make, an excellent contribution to the life of their country. As I begin my visit, I trust that my presence will be a source of renewal and hope for the Church in the United States, and strengthen the resolve of Catholics to contribute ever more responsibly to the life of this nation, of which they are proud to be citizens.

From the dawn of the Republic, America's quest for freedom has been guided by the conviction that the principles governing political and social life are intimately linked to a moral order based on the dominion of God the Creator. The framers of this nation's founding documents drew upon this conviction when they proclaimed the self-evident truth that all men are created equal and endowed with inalienable rights grounded in the laws of nature and of nature's God.

President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush stand with Pope Benedict XVI as he acknowledges the cheers from the crowd from the South Portico balcony Wednesday, April 16, 2008, on the South Lawn of the White House. White House photo by Grant Miller The course of American history demonstrates the difficulties, the struggles, and the great intellectual and moral resolve which were demanded to shape a society which faithfully embodied these noble principles. In that process, which forged the soul of the nation, religious beliefs were a constant inspiration and driving force, as for example in the struggle against slavery and in the civil rights movement. In our time, too, particularly in moments of crisis, Americans continue to find their strength in a commitment to this patrimony of shared ideas and aspirations.

In the next few days, I look forward to meeting not only with America's Catholic community, but with other Christian communities and representatives of the many religious traditions present in this country. Historically, not only Catholics, but all believers have found here the freedom to worship God in accordance with the dictates of their conscience, while at the same time being accepted as part of a commonwealth in which each individual group can make its voice heard.

As the nation faces the increasingly complex political and ethical issues of our time, I am confident that the American people will find in their religious beliefs a precious source of insight and an inspiration to pursue reasoned, responsible and respectful dialogue in the effort to build a more human and free society.

Freedom is not only a gift, but also a summons to personal responsibility. Americans know this from experience -- almost every town in this country has its monuments honoring those who sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom, both at home and abroad. The preservation of freedom calls for the cultivation of virtue, self-discipline, sacrifice for the common good, and a sense of responsibility towards the less fortunate. It also demands the courage to engage in civic life and to bring one's deepest beliefs and values to reasoned public debate.

In a word, freedom is ever new. It is a challenge held out to each generation, and it must constantly be won over for the cause of good. Few have understood this as clearly as the late Pope John Paul II. In reflecting on the spiritual victory of freedom over totalitarianism in his native Poland and in Eastern Europe, he reminded us that history shows time and again that "in a world without truth, freedom loses its foundation," and a democracy without values can lose its very soul. Those prophetic words in some sense echo the conviction of President Washington, expressed in his Farewell Address, that religion and morality represent "indispensable supports" of political prosperity.

President George W. Bush and Pope Benedict XVI stand together during the playing of the National Anthem at the Pope’s welcoming ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House Wednesday, April 16, 2008. White House photo by Shealah Craighead The Church, for her part, wishes to contribute to building a world ever more worthy of the human person, created in the image and likeness of God. She is convinced that faith sheds new light on all things, and that the Gospel reveals the noble vocation and sublime destiny of every man and woman. Faith also gives us the strength to respond to our high calling and to hope that inspires us to work for an ever more just and fraternal society. Democracy can only flourish, as your founding fathers realized, when political leaders and those whom they represent are guided by truth and bring the wisdom born of firm moral principle to decisions affecting the life and future of the nation.

For well over a century, the United States of America has played an important role in the international community. On Friday, God willing, I will have the honor of addressing the United Nations organization, where I hope to encourage the efforts underway to make that institution an ever more effective voice for the legitimate aspirations of all the world's peoples.

On this, the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the need for global solidarity is as urgent as ever, if all people are to live in a way worthy of their dignity -- as brothers and sisters dwelling in the same house and around that table which God's bounty has set for all his children. America has traditionally shown herself generous in meeting immediate human needs, fostering development and offering relief to the victims of natural catastrophes. I am confident that this concern for the greater human family will continue to find expression in support for the patient efforts of international diplomacy to resolve conflicts and promote progress. In this way, coming generations will be able to live in a world where truth, freedom and justice can flourish -- a world where the God-given dignity and the rights of every man, women and child are cherished, protected and effectively advanced.

Mr. President, dear friends, as I begin my visit to the United States, I express once more my gratitude for your invitation, my joy to be in your midst, and my fervent prayers that Almighty God will confirm this nation and its people in the ways of justice, prosperity and peace. God bless America. (Applause.)

Text of papal message to U.S. Catholics

By Catholic News Service

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- Here is the Vatican text of Pope Benedict XVI's message, in English and Spanish, to Catholics in the United States. The pope will visit the U.S. April 15-20.

Dear brothers and sisters in the United States of America,

The grace and peace of God our Father and the lord Jesus Christ be with all of you! In just a few days from now, I shall begin my apostolic visit to your beloved country. Before setting off, I would like to offer you a heartfelt greeting and an invitation to prayer. As you know, I shall only be able to visit two cities: Washington and New York. The intention behind my visit, though, is to reach out spiritually to all Catholics in the United States. At the same time, I earnestly hope that my presence among you will be seen as a fraternal gesture toward every ecclesial community and a sign of friendship for members of other religious traditions and all men and women of good will. The risen Lord entrusted the apostles and the church with his Gospel of love and peace, and his intention in doing so was that the message should be passed on to all peoples.

At this point I should like to add some words of thanks, because I am conscious that many people have been working hard for a long time, both in church circles and in the public services, to prepare for my journey. I am especially grateful to all who have been praying for the success of the visit, since prayer is the most important element of all. Dear friends, I say this because I am convinced that without the power of prayer, without that intimate union with the Lord, our human endeavors would achieve very little. Indeed this is what our faith teaches us. It is God who saves us, he saves the world, and all of history. He is the shepherd of his people. I am coming, sent by Jesus Christ, to bring you his word of life.

Together with your bishops, I have chosen as the theme of my journey three simple but essential words: "Christ Our Hope." Following in the footsteps of my venerable predecessors, Paul VI and John Paul II, I shall come to United States of America as pope for the first time, to proclaim this great truth: Jesus Christ is hope for men and women of every language, race, culture and social condition. Yes, Christ is the face of God present among us. Through him, our lives reach fullness, and together, both as individuals and peoples, we can become a family united by fraternal love, according to the eternal plan of God the Father. I know how deeply rooted this Gospel message is in your country. I am coming to share it with you, in a series of celebrations and gatherings. I shall also bring the message of Christian hope to the great Assembly of the United Nations, to the representatives of all the peoples of the world. Indeed, the world has greater need of hope than ever: hope for peace, for justice and for freedom, but this hope can never be fulfilled without obedience to the law of God, which Christ brought to fulfillment in the commandment to love one another. Do to others as you would have them do to you, and avoid doing what you would not want them to do. This "golden rule" is given in the Bible, but it is valid for all people, including nonbelievers. It is the law written on the human heart; on this we can all agree, so that when we come to address other matters we can do so in a positive and constructive manner for the entire human community.

Dear brothers and sisters, dear friends in the United States, I am very much looking forward to being with you. I want you to know that, even if my itinerary is short, with just a few engagements, my heart is close to all of you, especially to the sick, the weak and the lonely. I thank you once again for your prayerful support of my mission. I reach out to every one of you with affection, and I invoke upon you the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Que la Virgen Maria les acompane y proteja. Que Dios les bendiga.

May God bless you all.

END

Easter ....

The Veil in the temple was torn in two
I had now found a way to enter in
Walking past the gate with a thankful breath
I sat near the court learning to Praise.

Then in confidence I stood in admiration
as HE came By me..
I fell to my face  washing His feet with my tears
Then He smiled at me and said
It was  finished
You have won the race
Come  enter in the Joy set before you
I looked up and there I did see

A celestial throne across the crystal sea
Timidly I strode past the ancients' of days
To take my place inside the gate of  Praise
so thankful on this day I can remember
He Fulfilled His days
Because He Arose
From the Grave
Happy Easter

SOUNDS OF LAUGHTER AND GAIETY SURROUND THE MISTRALS  AND COURTIERS AS THEY DANCE THE NIGHT FULL OF MERRY
CELEBRATING THE SEASON OF LOVE...

UN EASED IS SHE AS SHE ESCAPES TO THE PLACE OF SERENITY
THERE..
SHE OPENS THE BOOK OF EVERLASTING LIFE
ONLY TO FIND  AWAITING HER IS THE HAND OF GOD
WOOING HER SOULFUL SPIRIT

CALLING HIS BRIDE COME ABIDE

THIS BRIDE ESCAPES INTO THE KNOWLEDGE  OF LASTING GRACE
WHERE SHE GAZES UPON THE FACE OF HER KING..

THERE SHE ABIDES THERE EVEN STILL AWAITING..
THEN...
SILENTLY BUT MAJESTICALLY COMES THE WING
FLUTTERING ABOVE THE CROWN UPON HER HEAD..

BILLOWING WHISPERS COVER
AND THEN SHE HEARS
THAT CELESTIAL SOUND ..
RESONATING ASCENSION
FROM HER OWN SOUL AND THEN
THE ECHO OF BRILLIANT GLORY
ENVELOPES THE BRIDE

GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST AND ON EARTH PEACE GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN

SHE WHISPERS TO THE HOST THAT CARRIES HER TO THE PLACE OF ABIDING  STILL..
GRACEFULLY THE PALACE SOUNDS FADE AWAY

SHE IS NESTLED INTO THE BEAUTY OF THE SOUND OF THE HOST
ECSTASY SURROUNDS HER VERY BEING
SHE JOINS IN THE WORSHIP WITH THAT SIMPLE WORD
 AMEN
MERRY CHRISTMAS

MARCEL MARCEAU THE GREATEST MIME IN THE WORLD!

Story By Theresa Forkins-Phillips

Fans paid tribute to the MIME of the century Marcel Marceau…

The French boprn actor died on 23 Sept at the age of 84

Marcel Marceau was known the world over as the man who not only entertained the minds of children but also captivated the dreams of adults .

His miming capacity was astounding .

It made you mind exorcise it’s ability to conceive imagination.

The “Silent Art” was able to bring even the hardest heart to tears, exciting laughter and gathered people across the globe to an understanding that we are all people.

A quote:

"Mime, like music, knows neither borders nor nationalities," he once said. "If laughter and tears are the characteristics of humanity, all cultures are steeped in our discipline."

Dressed in white face = no face he had a tattered hat and harlequin suit This man of the era of artistic grace was able to encapsulate every thought, while performing his act.

A quote:

"To mime the wind, one becomes a tempest. To mime a fish, you throw yourself into the sea."

Marceau created the figure of Bip, the melancholy, engaging clown with a limp red flower in his hat.

He traced his ancestry back through U.S. silent film greats Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton to the clowns of the Commedia dell'Arte, a centuries-old European tradition, and to the stylised gestures of Chinese opera and the Noh plays of Japan

He began to study acting in 1946 under Charles Dullin and the great mime teacher Etienne Decroux, who also taught Jean-Louis Barrault.

Marcel Marceau was born in the Alsatian town of Strasbourg on March 22, 1923.

He began to study acting in 1946 under Charles Dullin and the great mime teacher Etienne Decroux, who also taught Jean-Louis Barrault.

Below is Wikipedia account of the great artist

Marcel Marceau (born Marcel Mangel, March 22, 1923, died September 22, 2007) was a well-known mimeartist, among the most popular representatives of this art form world-wide.

Early life and training

Marcel Mangel was born in Strasbourg, France, the son of Anne (néeWerzberg) and Charles Mangel.[1]When he was 16, his Jewishfamily was forced to flee from its home to Limoges when France entered the Second World War. He and his brother Alain later joined Charles de Gaulle's Free French Forcesand, due to his excellent English, he worked as a liaison officer with General Patton's army.[2]His father, a kosher butcher, was arrested by the Gestapo and died in the Auschwitz concentration campin 1944. He was married three times and had four children.

After having seen Charlie Chaplin, he became an actor. After the war, he enrolled in 1946as a student in Charles Dullin's School of Dramatic Art in the Sarah BernhardtTheatre in Paris, where he studied with teachers like Charles Dullin and the great master, Étienne Decroux, who had also taught Jean-Louis Barrault. Marceau joined Barrault's company[3]and was soon cast in the role of Arlequin in the pantomime, Baptiste - which Barrault himself had interpreted in the world famous film Les Enfants du Paradis. Marceau's performance won him such acclaim that he was encouraged to present his first "mimodrama", called Praxitele and the Golden Fish, at the Bernhardt Theatre that same year. The acclaim was unanimous and Marceau's career as a mime was firmly established.

Career and signature characters

In 1947, Marceau created "Bip" the clown, who in his striped pullover and battered, beflowered silk opera hat — signifying the fragility of life — has become his alter ego, even as Chaplin's "Little Tramp" became that star's major personality. Bip's misadventures with everything from butterflies to lions, on ships and trains, in dance-halls or restaurants, were limitless. As a style pantomime, Marceau was acknowledged without peer. His silent exercises, which include such classic works as The Cage, Walking Against the Wind, The Mask Maker, and In The Park, as well as satires on everything from sculptors to matadors, were described as works of genius. Of his summation of the ages of man in the famous Youth, Maturity, Old Age and Death, one critic said: "He accomplishes in less than two minutes what most novelists cannot do in volumes."

In 1949, following his receipt of the renowned Deburau Prize (established as a memorial to the 19th century mime master Jean-Gaspard Deburau) for his second mimodrama, "Death before Dawn", Marceau formed his Compagnie de Mime Marcel Marceau - the only company of pantomime in the world at the time. The ensemble played the leading Paris theaters - Le Theatre des Champs-Elysees, Le Theatre de la Renaissance, and the Sarah Bernhardt, as well as other playhouses throughout the world. From 1959to 1960, a retrospective of his mimodramas, including the famous The Overcoatby Gogol, ran for a full year at the Amibigu Theatre in Paris. He has produced 15 other mimodramas, including Pierrot de Montmartre, The 3 Wigs, The Pawn Shop, 14th July, The Wolf of Tsu Ku Mi, Paris Cries—Paris Laughs, and Don Juan (adapted from the Spanish writer Tirso de Molina).

World recognition

With US president Jimmy Carter, Rosalynn Carter, and Amy Carter, June 16, 1977

Marceau performed all over the world in order to spread the "art of silence" (L'art du silence). He first toured the United States in 1955 and 1956, close on the heels of his North American debut at the Stratford Festival of Canada. After his opening engagement at the Phoenix Theater in New York, which received rave reviews, he moved to the larger Barrymore Theaterto accommodate the public demand. This first US tour ended with a record breaking return to standing room only crowds in San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and other major cities. His extensive transcontinental tours included South America, Africa, Australia, China, Japan, South East Asia, Russia, and Europe. His last world tour covered the United States in 2004, and returned to Europein 2005 and Australiain 2006.

Marceau's art became familiar to millions through his many television appearances. His first television performance as a star performer on the Max Liebman Show of Shows won him the television industry's coveted Emmy Award. He appeared on the BBCas Scrooge in A Christmas Carolin 1973. He was a favorite guest of Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin, Mike Douglasand Dinah Shore, and he also had his own one-man show entitled "Meet Marcel Marceau". He teamed with Red Skeltonin three concerts of pantomimes.

Marceau also showed his versatility in motion pictures such as First Class, in which he played 17 roles, Shanks, where he combined his silent art, playing a deaf and mute puppeteer, and his speaking talent, as a mad scientist; as Professor Ping in Barbarella, and a cameo as himself in Mel Brooks' Silent Movie
