Why do we even celebrate Thanksgiving if we don’t believe in it!
Seems to me things are a bit messed up right now !
And this is Thanksgiving …the very celebration of deliverance from Tierney and unholy lives marked by brutal and inefficient living plus irrational punishment need I say more…
The very reason we exist is to be free to love to care and to be.
What happened to that?
Seems to me if you say you’re a Christian you will be treated like an outcast.
Seems to me that if Christians are so bad ..The why do our laws come from the Holy Book?
It seems to me that if I say I will believe in GOD its ok BUT if I believe in Jesus it is wrong?
( Aren’t they the same person?)
In the media and on the streets we see Christian beliefs being attacked in astronomical proportions.
We see schools now holding holiday parties not Christmas ones. You cant say Merry Christmas in the Stores . Why Not? What happened to freedom of Speech?
\Holidays are important in America we look foreword to them yet we are attacked when we do and yet it is the christen Movement that made them all possible..
The display of a Manger is not ok but the display of a Menorah is fine. Now we celebrate every nation and tribe …Good grief will our kids ever go to school and learn to be Americans not divided?
ONE NATION UNDER GOD STILL PREVAILS !!
We never heard of Kwanzaa( It was created by
Ron Karenga, and first celebrated from December 26, 1966, to January 1, 1967. Karenga calls Kwanzaa the African American branch of "first fruits" celebrations of classical African cultures).
Good grief If you are born in Africa call yourself an Afro American ( if you became an America Citizen) But if you are Born in the united States YOU ARE AN AMERICAN!! ITS NOT ABOUT COLOR IT IS ABOUT WHERE YOU WERE BORN!
I love my fellow Americans no matter what their color is Whey cant we all do that ?
Why should you be proud of that calling yourself a foreign country name then American? It is well UN AMERICAN! GO home then.. I am certain someone will want to take your place.
The display of the Ten Commandments is wrong but in those 10 Commandments all the laws of man are derived from.
America supplies most of the worlds financial help and all of its protection and missionary work. BUT we Americans are being attacked within our own borders
Yes we are ….
We are letting our lives be dictated by people who have anger issues and support moral wrongs.
We stand afraid of the “bad Press” and fear of man.. We are doing the very things we left out homelands for to start this wonderful country!
Our politicians waffle from Holy and Profane attitudes and who do I vote for ??
We see people make up excuses for wrongs and call them diseases….
And we dare not to proclaim wrongs when they are wrong with out a political debate !
Murder is wrong we have laws for that !
Incest is wrong we have laws for that !
Stealing is wrong we have laws for that !
Lying is wrong we have laws for that!
SO Does GOD!
The Ten Commandments
Traditional division and interpretation
According to the Medieval
Sefer ha-Chinuch, the first four statements concern the relationship between God and humans, while the next six statements concern the relationships between people. Rabbinic literatureholds that the Ten Statements in fact contain 14 or 15 distinct instructions.
"I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me..."
This commandment is to believe in the existence of God and His influence on events in the world, and that the goal of the redemption from Egypt was to become His servants (Rashi). It prohibits belief in or worship of any additional deities.
"Do not make an image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above..."
This prohibits the construction or fashioning of "idols" in the likeness of created things (beasts, fish, birds, people) and worshipping them.
"Do not swear falsely by the name of the LORD..."
This commandment is to never take the name of God in a vain, pointless or insincere oath.
"Remember [zachor] the Sabbath day and keep it holy" (the version in Deuteronomy reads shamor, "observe")
The seventh day of the week is termed
Shabbatand is holy, just as God ceased creative activity during Creation. The aspect of zachor is performed by declaring the greatness of the day (kiddush), by having three festive meals, and by engaging in Torah studyand pleasurable activities. The aspect of shamor is performed by abstaining from productive activity (39 melachot) on the Shabbat.
"Honor your father and your mother..."
The obligation to honor one's parents is an obligation that one owes to God and fulfills this obligation through one's actions towards one's parents.
This is not understood as stealing in the conventional sense, since theft of property is forbidden elsewhere and is not a capital offense. In this context it is to be taken as "do not kidnap."
One must not bear false witness in a court of law or other proceeding.
"Do not covet your neighbor's wife"
One is forbidden to desire and plan how one may obtain that which God has given to another.
Maimonidesmakes a distinction in codifying the laws between the instruction given here in Exodus (You shall not covet) and that given in Deuteronomy (You shall not desire), according to which one does not violate the Exodus commandment unless there is a physical action associated with the desire, even if this is legally purchasing an envied object.
People lets stand up this Thanksgiving and Be truly Thankful For America .
Stand beside her and Guide her in the night with a light from above!

DIANA
10 YEARS LATER A CELEBRATION OF ACHIEVEMENT
by Theresa Forkins-Phillips
Theresa Forkins-Phillips
Diana Princess of Wales was surely the "PEOPLES PRINCESS" as Tony Blair, aptly put it when he made his public statement following her tragic death in August 1997. Yet her legacy still lives on through her charities and her sons. Those sons are Prince's William and Henry we can still see glimpses of her smile her devotion and her humor, her style and not forgetting her compassion. The Late Princes was a ICON, that had surmountable attention throughout the world as a figure of humanitarian and emotional aid.
She was the FIRST public figure and of course ROYAL figure that dared to touch an AIDS victim making headlines doing it. This was a shock to see in the world, for ROYALS hardly ever put on a human face or hand to a person. Let alone a sick one. They have been looked upon over generations as superhuman not needing emotion nor expressing it.
But Diana Princess of Wales changed the Monarchy of Great Briton forever!
Her sense of style and courage changed the course of History for Not only the Windsor family but the women of the western world again forever!
Yes she made remarkable changes in her own life. Rising from the devastation of a public figure of such grand stature by being divorced. Diana Changed the look and style of Monarchy making a very human face to the whole régime.
Born lady Diana Francis Spencer ,Lady of the Realm. She then became a Princess by marrying the Prince Of Wales. She had two children and faced many challenges as well. Diana suffered from a life time of issues like the rest of the world but the only difference was she did not hide them. She used them to make her life stand out and become an overcomer in the process. As for her “eating problems” she then rose to become a Fashion ICON that still resonates today in her sense of style and grace.
Even when she tragically died from a car crash in 1997 we saw instantly women cutting off their hair to have the DI DO it is still worn today.
As the world watched her hair styles make headlines, we also watched her make inroads in charity work that brought a lot of attention to otherwise not noticeable venues.
Dressing Diana made many fashion designers become a house hold names such as The Wedding Dress designer Elizabeth Emanuel and Gianna Versace ,and Catherine Walker. All were personal friends all knew her well.... She wore their creations with beauty and finesse. In Diana's circle there were many an artist and many a peasant and many a star she loved them all at one time or another. In the End it was reciprocated.
She wore their labels and then sold many of them at auction for charity another unheard of Idea for a Royal. That idea caught on, and today we see personal items auctioned off all over the world.
Diana Princess of Wales was very important in bringing to attention causes such as AIDS, Bulimia (eating disorders) the homeless, visiting the sick and down trodden. Upon nearing her death she became interested in Landmine's. The explosive device that has been left behind in many war torn places of the world.
Yes Diana was an amazing woman she leaves with us two sons who also have felt tragedy in life as their mother did Divorce. Death and uncharted scrutiny of overexposure.
They watched their mother go through a rough divorce and rebuild her life. With that they learn to overcome many things. They watched their mother make and break the press, and tabloids with her ability to charm them and anger them at the same time. Yet they all profited by that! They also learned from their mother how to stand bow and be gracious to all they encountered and it showed on that fateful day…
Who can forget that picture of her sons’ walking somberly behind the coffin that bore the Princess to her final resting place? Who can stop the image in their mind when they saw the thousands of flowers outside Kensington Palace? AND THE WORLD IN TEARS FOR THEIR PRINCESS? And who can forget that, almost daily news real about "What is Diana up to now”
She gave women in the west new courage when they saw her re-invent herself after divorce many women had courage to face their new lives as well.
Diana lived her life openly we all saw her cry, laugh, dance morn, and die. We loved her and she will be missed forever.
She had been a household word. Now she has been forced back into the memories of many minds ...BUT that is changing as she is making new headlines now !! Charity was her art and Charity is her legacy that her sons want us to remember.
A concert in her honor 1 JULY her birthday. Her sons William and Harry have decided it is time to make her legacy remain a good one and not a tarnished one. Both of her sons reflect that its is time to move her charity work into the present with the taking on of a challenge of a fundraiser event to capture the Globe.

In addition to a Memorial Service on 31st August, the concert marks what would have been Diana’s 46th birthday. Diana has left the Earth but she will never die . Her sons will see to that ! She will live on through her and though our memories till FOREVER History has a way of trying to re-invent itself but we Diana lovers know she was and is an ICON that will be etched for a lifetime in our memory. The Role of The Speaker
The Speaker of the House
House Officer, Party Leader, and Representative
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is widely viewed as symbolizing the power and authority of the House. The Speaker’s most prominent role is that of presiding officer of the House. In this capacity he is empowered by House rules to administer proceedings on the House floor, including the power to recognize Members on the floor to speak or make motions and the power to appoint Members to conference committees. The Speaker also oversees much of the non-legislative business of the House, such as general control over the Hall of the House and the House side of the Capitol and service as the chairman of the House Office Building Commission. His role as “elect of the elect” in the House also places the Speaker in a highly visible position with the public.
The Speaker also serves not only as titular leader of the House but also as leader of the majority party conference. The Speaker is often responsible for airing and defending the majority party’s legislative agenda in the House.
The Speaker’s third distinct role is that of an elected Member of the House. Although he is elected as an officer of the House, the Speaker continues to be a Member as well. As such he enjoys the same rights, responsibilities, and privileges of all Representatives. However, he traditionally refrains from debating or voting in most circumstances, and does not sit on any standing committee of the House.
A married man a father a friend! Highly reguarded as a man of Valor amoung peers..
Quotes: Dennis Hastert about meeting Jean: "We noticed each other right away, but at first nothing clicked ... But we went to the movies, attended sports events, and talked and talked and talked. And the more we were together, the more obvious it seemed to me that we complemented each other perfectly." Dennis Hastert about proposing to Jean: "Over Christmas vacation in 1972, in the kitchen of the little home she had rented on River Road in Yorkville, I popped the question to her. Actually, instead of going down on bended knee to ask, 'Will you marry me?' I used an indirect, elliptical approach. 'Well, people think we ought to get married,' I said." Dennis Hastert about the Marriage Protection Amendment: "For thousands of years the definition of marriage has been the union between one man and one woman. Marriage is the very foundation of our society where families are formed and communities are established." Source: USnewswire.com
Praise from Religious Right
Religious Right leaders praised Hastert's elevation to the Speakership. Phyllis Schlafly said, "This is great news for the Republicans. It's turning over a new leaf. Denny Hastert has a longtime record as a pro-family conservative and I know that this is a better day for the Republicans in Congress."
The Executive Director of the Christian CoalitionRandy Tate: "Denny Hastert is a man of true principle and integrity. He is a true conservative. Denny received a "Friend of the Family" award [from the Christian Coalition] and only 80 members out of the 435 members in the House received that award."
Dr. James Dobson , the head of Focus on the Family, also gave Hastert his blessing.
Hastert has attended numerous Religious Right meetings, including a
I was privileged to be able to ask him a couple of questions here are his answers..
What were your greatest accomplishments in your role as Speaker?
"I knew there was a need for both parties to come together to get our work done. I recognized and emphasized the need to strengthen our working relationships and I did that. I brought people together to gain consensus on the issues that are important to American families."
During my tenure, we passed important legislation to reduce taxes, which put money in the pockets of American families. We implemented a new nationwide prescription drug program to assist seniors access prescription drugs, many of them are now saving money through this program.
"Solutions to problems cannot be found in a pool of bitterness. They can be found in an environment in which we trust one another's word; where we generate heat and passion, but where we recognize that each member is equally important to our overall mission of improving the life of the American people."
Has faith impacted the decisions you have made in your work?
Faith has always been an important part of my life. It has given me the courage to face the challenges I face on a daily basis. Dennis Hastert is a Methodist
I asked the Speaker what was next in his venture for our Country and all he was able to say is he is not commenting at this time ..
Recently he had the opportunity to address Al Gore here are his comments On Global warming
Thank you Mr Speaker God Bless you and God Bless You and God Bless America Thank you for being May 2007 Person of The Month
OCTOBER 2006
Faith is the basis of all human knowledge.
What you believe is what you are.
GOD
America the land of Faith and the land of choice
by Theresa Forkins-Phillips
Faith is the basis of all human knowledge. What you believe is what you are.
While battles are fought and continue to be fought in the Name of GOD we decided to make GOD
"Person of the Month" He is the forefront of many a topic in world affairs so here He is First of all let us establish who GOD is and the definition of GOD according to Websters Dictionary
God; Websters Dictionary
Function: noun Pronunciation: 'gäd also 'go d Etymology: Middle English, from Old English; akin to Old High German got god 1 capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: as a : the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe b Christian Science : the incorporeal divine Principle ruling over all as eternal Spirit : infinite Mind 2 : a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship ; specifically : one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality 3 : a person or thing of supreme value 4 : a powerful ruler
People were created by a supernatural existence not by evolving from some sort of ape. That was firmly establish when in the 1980s a baboons heart was put into a child and the procedure failed. Yet we all here in America GOD is the battle cry.. Do You believe in this god or that god? My God is better than yours etc... I have to mention that if GOD is the person of supreme value why do we not value the right to give him honor? Without a belief system we have no knowledge. Everybody has a god even atheists believe and have a god even if it is their car. They may believe that they have the ability to control the lives of man by saying no GOD rules here therefore they themselves impart the appearance of They are GOD?
Religion is on the very lips of Congress and School debates Who are we what are we who is right is it right? The list is endless about the Use of the Word GOD. In actuality GOD is on TRIAL.. Does he exist only for certain people?
In my lifetime I have heard time and time again the profane usage of the word GOD and Jesus Christ that put a negative slant of such a powerful being does it not? Profanity is used in the name of GOD on TV shows films and in everyday life where is the ACLU when you need them then? To defend my right to LOVE GOD
The debate of Using GOD is beginning to emerge even in our upcoming elections. Some want the conservative vote thereby they will appeal to us with GOD to get it. Some actually will LOVE GOD no matter what. Some will deny him no matter what. Some will continue to crucify his existence no matter what. When will it all end and why does it happen? My own theory is this; one can get angry whit one who will not defend himself. It is by far the safest way to start a war by saying GOD had me do it and now I justify it by the almighty. My own fatter told me once that I should never talk about someone I do not know, nor force anyone to make an opinion about someone who is not present to defend himself. If GOD is the Ruler I have news for you He is Present and is taking down everything we say and do. But a just GOD will not go against you own will for He will allow you to choose for yourself what you choose to believe in. I am a believer and I know many of you are as well but perhaps many of you are not. I can assure you God is real. How can I do that .. a simple test is this ask him to show himself to you.. You have choices to choose from to find God We have Christianity and Islam,Protastant and Catholicism Christianity has 2.1 billion Islam 1.3 billion Hinduism 900 million Buddhism 300 million Sikhism 23 million Judaism 14 million Bahai 7 million Janisism 4.2 million Shinto 4 million..
from wikipedia
Now all of these groups claim to know GOD that is a lot of people. And we cannot agree as to what to call him and who he is! How does that make GOD person of the month? According to Webster he is creator and ruler what is the answer in the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Gen1;1) God is the Beginning and the end He will outlast all our wars and all our fighting's He will execute justice when it is necessary and He will WIN! Our forefather in America ran from ternary of oppression of NOT being allowed to choose.. We in America are to love our neighbors and accept the poor and the weak In our nation we give beyond our border to the oppressed and down trodden we allow discussion to promote or demote the mere existence of GOD YET what was the principal of the founding of America FAITH a belief system in which knowledge is available to mankind.

In 1893 the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation of the District of Columbia was granted a charter from Congress to establish the cathedral and the site on Mount Saint Albans was chosen The Cathedral was the longest running construction site in the nation’s capitol – 83 years total (1907 to completion in 1990). Its design is Gothic and its style is quite lavish. All 57 acres the Cathedral sits on is completely landscaped. Mother Teresamy #1 Female Hero.
.
wiki pic I read Mother Teresa's Book several times “Meditations from A Simple Path.. I have never tired of reading this precious little book. It Inspires me to go deeper in humility. It also gives me great strength to worship the Lord with thanksgiving for what I have and my own land.
Mother Teresa was a nun who was in an order in Calcutta when she needed to go outside her cloistered walls and finds her true mission in life. “The call within the Call.” After gaining permission to remove her habit of the starch and pristine traditional look ,she abandoned that look for the look we are all accustomed to.
Her white and blue India cloth. A sari. She began her missionary work in Sept 10,1946.
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. Mother Teresa
THE Russian nun started a school in Motijhil; shortly thereafter, she started tending to the needs of the destitute and starving Her efforts quickly caught the attention of Indian officials, including the Prime Minister, who expressed his appreciation. Teresa wrote in her diary that her first year was fraught with difficulties. She had no income and had to resort to begging for food and supplies. Teresa experienced doubt, loneliness and the temptation to return to the comfort of convent life during these early months. She recorded in her diary: “Our Lord wants me to be a free nun covered with the poverty of the cross. Today I learned a good lesson. The poverty of the poor must be so hard for them. While looking for a home I walked and walked till my arms and legs ached. I thought how much they must ache in body and soul, looking for a home, food and health. Then the comfort of Loreto [her former order] came to tempt me. 'You have only to say the word and all that will be yours again,' the Tempter kept on saying ... Of free choice, my God, and out of love for you, I desire to remain and do whatever be your Holy will in my regard. I did not let a single tear come.( quote from wikipedia)
Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa is my hero because she was willing to sacrifice all she had. Make a change and invest her soul into eternal life. Not hers only, but ours yes all of ours. She was a friend to many and never backed down. She is once rememberd by saying, "If I never picked up the first one I'd Never have picked up the 1000's since."
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. Mother Teresa
She won a Nobel peace prize and she became one of the Late Princess Diana’s personal mentors. I can remember quite distinctly when former President Clinton and his wife with Vice President Al Gore and his wife. We were seated at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington when Mother Teresa openly rebuked the very idea of abortion. She received a standing ovation from EVERYONE WHO WAS LISTENING …EXCEPT FROM THE PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT AND THEIR WIVES. The thunderous applause was immense and I was so moved that she was not moved by it at all. She just kept a steady atmosphere about her and continued on with her speech. This tiny lady who adorned herself with humility gained the respect of the world and caused people to face humbleness with grace and awe…coupled with tangiable LOVE!
I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world. Mother Teresa
I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness. Mother Teresa
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love. Mother Teresa
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. Mother Teresa
God gave her to us, to remind us all, that we all have a mission to remember the poor and to be able to ask the rich to help. Most of them do just that they help. In an excerpt from her book..
I quote “THE TREE OF SELF -DEFEAT” In The Branches: Emptiness Alienation Apathy Interpersonal Conflicts Crime Dependency Alcoholism Drug addiction In The Roots; Fear Insecurity Resentment Jealousy Mistrust Hostility Guilt Self-Pity
THE TREE OF SELF-REALIZATION In The Branches; Purposefulness Health Joy Self-Motivation Contentment Acceptance Fulfillment Creativity. In The Roots: Charity Friendship Forgiveness Love Gratitude Kindness Warmth Trust
Yes every time I read this tiny book I am changed and thankful women can be heroes too.
Spiritual life From Wikipedia Analyzing her deeds and achievements, John Paul II asked: "Where did Mother Teresa find the strength and perseverance to place herself completely at the service of others? She found it in prayer and in the silent contemplation of Jesus Christ, his Holy Face, his Sacred Heart." In his first encyclical Deus Caritas Est, Benedict XVI mentioned Teresa of Calcutta three times and he also used her life to clarify one of his main points of the encyclical. "In the example of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta we have a clear illustration of the fact that time devoted to God in prayer not only does not detract from effective and loving service to our neighbor but is in fact the inexhaustible source of that service." Although there was no direct connection between Mother Teresa's order and the Franciscan orders, she was known as a great admirer of St. Francis of Assisi.Accordingly, her influence and life show influences of Franciscan spirituality. The Sisters of Charity recite the peace prayer of St. Francis every morning before breakfast and many of the vows and emphasis of her ministry are similar. St. Francis emphasized poverty, chastity, obedience and submission to Christ. He also devoted much of his own life to service of the poor, especially lepers in the area where he lived.

Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis …
A true American Hero An American Legacy I was a small child when I met Mr. Kennedy on the steps at The Baker Memorial Park in St Charles, IL My Father Said I was going to meet the next President of the United States of America and I did.. I was very young and managed to cross the street myself to stand next to my father who happened to be standing next to John Kennedy, a Democrat running for the Office of The president. His wife was with him and I can still remember how lovely she smelled. To this very day I look in perfumeries to see if I can find her perfume.. it was amazing to such a little girl…Me .. At Least If I remember correctly it was her.. I'd hate to find out it wasn’t for she changed my life!
All through my life I watched this elegant lady manage to protect her children and make the changes necessary to be able to continue with her life’s work ..That of words.
During her days in the Whitehouse she managed to re-establish the elegance of the office of The President and transform the Historical building to the grandeur of nobility it needed to ascend to.
In her vision she realized the Whitehouse lacked the sense of history with its furnishing and she made it her first task to renovate that issue.. On 14 Feb., 1962, Mrs. Kennedy took American television viewers on a tour of the White House with Charles Collingwood of CBS In the tour she said, "I just feel that everything in the White House should be the best — the entertainment that's given here. To this day the White house reflects the historical beauty it deserves.
I can not forget that day in November when her husband was murdered.. I was in school and told to go quietly home and don’t talk along the way.. Days were different then we were taught to respect our leaders and obey our teachers. My family all watched the next days unfolding in front of us on the television and here we all learned another example from Mrs. Kennedy, How to stand in dignity while facing your inner most heart ache. Watching mostly in silence we see Her gracefully hold up her head and that of her children. She managed to hold the entire world in her hand at every given moment … At the cemetery of the President she managed to have and eternal flame lit . Perhaps symbolizing a legacy that can never die… The Kennedy Library was dedicated by her and may function were held to honor her late husband she did all this with dignity.
Most girls were aspiring to be like her in many ways. She was elegant poised and beautiful. But what she really had was true class ..She was not pretentious she was real .. Jackie Kennedy married Greek shipping tycoon, Aristotle Onassis.. Some thought her image was tarnished while many American women thought her actions began to liberate American women ….perhaps they did …
By the age of 46 she was now a two time widow and she remained unmarried the rest of her days.. But she did continue to live in new York and work for Doubleday Publishing.
April 2 ,2005 I managed do be in Chicago to see the exhibit of Jackie Kennedy’s wonderful wardrobe. With great expectancy I adored her dresses and I wowed over her majestic regal look .. But what intrigued me most was her ability to smile.. She always gracefully smiled.. She remains today as one of the Icons of the century with poise and grace an style but she can be remember d for her wisdom in her words.
“Even though people may be well known, they hold in their hearts the emotions of a simple person for the moments that are the most important of those we know on earth: birth, marriage and death.”
“I think the best thing I can do is to be a distraction. A husband lives and breathes his work all day long. If he comes home to more table thumping, how can the poor man ever relax?“
“I want minimum information given with maximum politeness."
"I want to live my life, not record it.“
"I'll be a wife and mother first, then First Lady.”
"If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much.”
“It looks like it's been furnished by discount stores. Pertains to the White House!"
"Now, I think that I should have known that he was magic all along. I did know it - but I should have guessed that it would be too much to ask to grow old with and see our children grow up together. So now, he is a legend when he would have preferred to be a man.”
"Ok now what can I say? She was and is a legend and a Hero!"
Hero #3Diana Princess of Wales
wiki pic
Diana Princess of Wales a monumental figure ! Her life span was 36 years but her legacy will last a century She left behind many things ..Most important were her two adoring sons Prince William and Prince Harry. I so adored this lady. She caught the eye of every man woman and child. Her stature was immense ..She captivated the world with her soft eyes electric smile and of course her style. Not afraid to conquer her own fears she managed to over come divorce, eating disorders and the ever prevailing paparazzi! Well maybe not in the end ...
The press is ferocious. It forgives nothing, it only hunts for mistakes…In my position anyone sane would have left a long time ago. Princess Diana
Her death came as a shock to the world. Even in death she managed to make changes that the world could see. She was the first Royal or even public figure to touch and aids patient. Helping people in need is a good and essential part of my life, a kind of destiny.
HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug: Heaven knows they need it. Princess Diana
She was willing to step into a landmine field to promote the necessity to remove them. Diana was not as complex as many would suppose. We hear how complex she was….
I see the complex as ignorance to ward the human heart.. Reporters like to find sensationalism and they found it in the sensational Diana. But why a Hero ..
Helping people in need is a good and essential part of my life, a kind of destiny. HIV does not make people dangerous to know, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug: Heaven knows they need it. Princess Diana
Diana gave women around the world the opportunity to face their own resolve toward embarrassment for being divorced.
I think like any marriage, especially when you've had divorced parents like myself; you want to try even harder to make it work. Princess Diana
She charged us all to face disorders and loneliness.. Diana proved to us that the fish bowl of glamour was still human and fairy tales can be broken.
The public... they wanted a fairy princess to come and touch them, and everything will turn into gold and all their worries would be forgotten. Little did they realize that the individual was crucifying herself inside because she didn't think she was good enough. Princess Diana
Her quotes don’t sound complex they sound human. I have read she had erratic behavior well if you’re suppose to be above human I expect that to occur.
I remember seeing her in the Purple Versace Gown that wow’d. Chicago in 1996 as HRH The Princess of Wales attended a breast cancer symposium during her 48-hour fund-raising blitz in Chicago. I heard her talking to reporters. As she was being asked, “how do you keep this schedule? Her answer simply was “I do it out of responsibility and duty.” If we all could do that!
I'd like to be a queen in people's hearts but I don't see myself being Queen of this country. Princess Diana BBC TV Panorama interview, November 1995
Hero #4 Audery Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn Hero #4..a prize of a lady! This woman changed my whole life with her constant loveliness an her candor of grace..Especially on the screen. I cannot forget Breakfast at Tiffany’s or the wonderful film. My Fair Lady which made a commoner a princess.. A true story but in fact it was true for Audrey. She was raised Audrey Kathleen Hepburn-Ruston in Brussels, Belgium. Daughter of John Victor Hepburn-Ruston and Ella van Heemstra.
Audrey aspired to be a dancer but it was the screen and camera that loved her. I never thought I'd land in pictures with a face like mine. Audrey Hepburn
During the war she was a child who at one time escaped pending doom by escaping into a barn. There she ate some fruit not knowing it was rotten. This began her life long battle with digestive disorders.
Audrey Hepburn was a woman who in spite of chronic illness kept to the jobs at hand. In her later years she became Uniceff Good will Ambassador which gave her her most favored role. This is where I find her a hero and where she was probably her happiest.
"The truth is that the quality Audrey brings to the screen is not dependent on her figure, her face, her accent (which is neither quite British nor quite foreign) or even her talent. Belgian-born (of a Dutch mother and an Anglo-Irish father), she has, like all great actresses from Maude Adams to Greta Garbo, the magic ability to bridge the gap between herself and her audience, and to make her innermost feelings instantly known and shared." - Time Magazine
Finding a side of a star is difficult indeed but for this one she became transparent and honestly …a wonder woman!
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Audrey Hepburn
This is her philosophy and she lived by it. Her own need to be loved and her compassion to love was evident as she dove into the role of Ambassador.
I've known UNICEF a long time, ever since the second world war when they came to the aid of thousands of children like myself, famished victims of five years of German occupation in Holland. We were reduced to near total poverty as is the developing world today - for it is poverty that is at the root of all their suffering - the not having, not having the means to help themselves. And that is what UNICEF is all about - helping people to help themselves - giving them the aid to develop, thereby allowing them to become self-reliant and live with dignity." Audrey Hepburn In 1988, Audrey embarked on her second career as UNICEF's international Goodwill Ambassador. With her long time companion, Robert Wolders, and assisted by her dear friend Christa Roth, Audrey traveled for UNICEF with acclaimed photographer John Isaac on behalf of UNICEF. Together they presented to the world a provocative visual context in which to see the urgency of Audrey's message.
For five years, until her death in 1993, Audrey devoted all her energy to working with UNICEF. Her field missions were often physically and emotionally demanding and sometimes undertaken at great personal risk. Audrey learned first hand about the plight of poor and displaced children in countries all over the world. Audrey made over fifty field research visits to UNICEF-assisted projects in Sudan, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea, and Somalia. These trips enabled her to witness first-hand the distressing conditions of children living in war-torn and drought-ridden areas of the world. Determined to raise awareness and badly needed funds, Audrey applied her first-hand knowledge to inform Special Assemblies at the U.N., shared details with various Press Associations, and lobbied on behalf of children to World Parliaments.
In 1993, Sean H. Ferrer, Luca Dotti (Audrey's sons) and Robert Wolders (her companion) created The Audrey Hepburn Memorial Fund at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to commemorate the humanitarian efforts she made as a UNICEF International Goodwill Ambassador.
To date, the Audrey Hepburn Memorial Fund at UNICEF has raised over $1 million dollars for educational programs in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Sudan and Somalia.
The best thing to hold onto in life is each other. Audrey Hepburn
Then Best quote: There are certain shades of limelight that can wreck a girl's complexion. Audrey Hepburn Rest dear friend in Peace ..
Hero #5 Lucille Ball
I do Love Lucy!!!! A lady of laughter and love and overcoming nature. She lives On and On In our Hearts! Her family was Baptist ; her father was of Scottish descent. Her mother was of French, Irish and English descent. Lucille was proud of her family and heritage. Her genealogy can be traced back to the earliest settlers in the colonies.
Murray Anderson School for the Dramatic Arts and was out shone by another pupil named Betty Davis.. There she as told she had no future as a performer… She became a fashion model for designer Hattie Carnegie as the Chesterfield girl. She changed her name to Diane Belmont and began a Broadway career. She became hired by Florenz Zigfield of the Zigfield Follies.
She was known at one time as Queen of the B’s meaning B rated films Ability is of little account without opportunity. Lucille Ball
She could dance sing and act ..Not bad with a girl with NO talent. But she also had something else, She had spunk and wit. She could make you laugh and cry at the same time.
I think knowing what you cannot do is more important than knowing what you can do. In fact, that's good taste. Lucille Ball
A very heroic trait in my book .. Because of a radio program called My Favorite Husband she was offered a role on CBS. The I Love Lucy Show changed her life and put her in the Star category and saved her volatile marriage to Desi Arnez. It has been reported that the years on that show were the couples happiest. She raised her children in the ”lime light” and her regrets are her own.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done. Lucille Ball
Lucille Ball worked hard at her career. She had
Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work - and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't. Lucille Ball
On July 6.1989, Lucille Ball was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George H. W. Bush. In 1996 TV Guide voted Lucille Ball as the Greatest TV Star of All Time.
In 2007, Lucille Ball was posthumously awarded the Legacy of Laughter award at the 5th Annual TV land Awards.
Yes, she made us laugh when we did not have the strength to laugh ourselves. In my years growing up I remember my mother and her friend we always being called Lucy an Ethel after the great star. Cut they to were Zany ! My favorite Quote is this: Use a make-up table with everything close at hand and don't rush; otherwise you'll look like a patchwork quilt. Lucille Ball
Now where did I put the cold cream?
Yes these are my Heroes
Mother Teresa for her humility and her ability to gain favor with the Kings and Princes of this world thru humility and compassion. She epitomizes the real essence of Godliness and wholeness by keeping her virtue as a woman posturing herself to be used by the Almighty! A legacy one could only hope to live up to.
Jackie Kennedy's elegance provokes one to understand that the protocol of work is so important that we often time become to casual.
Her sense of history makes me think of the forefather of our nation and our personal heritages ..Those things provoke me to look for the Ancient of Days with eyes ready.
Her ability to shine in the midst of terror was remarkable to say the least we should all be so brave. Her legacy is one that is enduring.
Diana Princess of Wales shook my spirit every time I watched her over come the trials and errors of public life.
She made me want to look like a royal in the public eye but at the same time made me keenly aware that I had a personal side too that needed attention.
She taught us women we are of value as she shook even the Monarchy of England in her death still staking claim as one to be reckoned with. This legacy grows onward..
Audrey Hepburn make us all realize that we too need to give something back! She did so by accepting the UNICEF Ambassadorship making children a priority in life. This invokes me to realize the next generation is so vital in loving and helping remembering they are our future. If only we all could leave such a legacy that young people are of great importance through out the entire world.
Lucille Ball made me laugh even at myself. I learned through the years of her TV career that we can do just that Laugh at ourselves and realize we are mortal and need the good medicine of The Lord laughter.
We can also recognize that the public can be helpful to make us try harder ...
Can anyone fine a line to match that legacy Just make them laugh!
Each one of them is Jesus in disguise. Mother Teresa
Tony Blair a true American Friend and an honorable man leaving office in June 2007
His Tenure has sparked much acclaim and criticism over the years.
His first triumph was over the Labor Partys win making him Prime Minister of England ..
Moving soon after that into the negotiations between Buckingham Palace and The People
He aptly termed the phase "The Peoples Princess " when the Late Diana Princess of Wales was killed in 1997.
He moved the entire world with his emotional display of affection and admiration when the announcement came that The Peoples Princess was dead.
People looked to him for comfort when they felt they had been abandoned by The Palace, Yet he displayed diplomacy and guarded his Queen as a true statesmen should.
Mr. Blair married Cherie Booth, a practicing Roman Catholic at future Queen's Counsel, on 29 March 1980. They have four children (Euan, Nicky, Kathryn and Leo). Leo (born 20 May 2000) was the first legitimate child born to a serving Prime Minister in over 150 years, since Francis Russell was born to Lord John Russellon 11 July 1849.
Their children caused controversy by attending a Roman Catholic School in London .
Mr Blair is also being criticized by being on good terms with the President of The United States Mr George Bush.
Sense the War on Terror started he has been in a onslaught of battles for his alignment with Mr Bush and supported American Foreign policy and the Invasion of Afghanistan.
Mr Blair has much to be proud of in his own right . He managed to promote a more business like manner in Parliament.
His reform was said to be led into greater efficiency
*Blair is both credited with and criticized for moving the Labour Party towards the center of British politics, using the term "New Labour" to distinguish his pro-market policies from the more collectivist policies which the party had espoused in the past.
*In domestic government policy, Blair has significantly increased public spending on health and education while also introducing controversial market-based reforms in these areas. Blair's tenure has also seen the introduction of a minimum wage, tuition fees for higher education, and constitutional reform such as devolution in Scotland and Wales.
*His contribution towards assisting the Northern Ireland Peace Process by helping to negotiate the Good Friday Agreement after 30 years of conflict is widely recognized. The British economy has performed well, and Blair has kept to Conservative commitments not to increase income tax.
*Mr. Blair rarely discusses his religious faith in public, but he is often identified as an Anglo-Catholic—that is, a member of the high church branch of the Church of England, sympathetic to the beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church .Catholic doctrine. Recently it is being reported through, biographers and journalists that Mr. Blair intends to declare himself a Roman Catholic after leaving Downing Street, An interview with Michael Parkinson broadcast on ITV1 on 4 March 2006, Blair referred to the role of his Christian faith in his decision to go to war in Iraq, stating that he had prayed about the issue, and saying that God would judge him for his decision:"I think if you have faith about these things, you realize that judgement is made by other people … and if you believe in God, it's made by God as well."
Brought up as a Christian he did not practice this faith till he was at Oxford, when an Australian priest stirred up the senses of belief,by re-discovering his faith.
*Relationship with other European Nations
Blair played a key role in extending the membership of the European Union from 15 to 27 states, and worked to ensure that free-market values were adopted.
Blair forged allegiances with several right wing European leaders, including Silvi Berlusconi of Italy [, Angela Merkel of Germany and more recently Nicolas Sarkozy of France.
One of Mr. Blair's first actions in the Labour Party was to assure relationship with Israel and The Middle East
He joined a group called Labour Friends of Israel
*Tony .Blair and Michael Levy soon became close friends . Levy ran the Labour Leader's Office Fund to finance Blair's campaign before the 1997 General Election and received substantial contributions from such figures as Alex Bernstein and Robert Gavron, both of whom were ennobled by Blair after he came to power. Levy was created a life peer by Blair in 1997, and in 2002, just prior to the Iraq War, Blair appointed Levy as his personal envoy to the Middle East. Levy has praised Blair for his "solid and committed support of the State of Israel"
Mr Tony Blair has had ups and downs during his tenure when it come to positive and negative emotions .He has been called off the cuff as Son of Thatcher ( because of his admiration for the Baroness and Former Prime Minister).
about his future it has been rumored that he may become world ambassador .
yet he will still retain his parliamentary seat after his resignation comes into effect, and will become just another back bencher.
